Default Too late to flush the transmission?

I was at the Yuma Toyota dealer and the service rep told me since I'm at 80k and it is NOT recommended to flush at high miles on the transmission because the gears will have more chance of slipping the gears. Send your traffic everyone! Thanks

80K?? I'm waving the BS flag....I flushed mine in the Tundra around 70K mark...might have even been a little more. No problems.

I had an 85 Caprice that went well over 200K miles back in the day....for the first 150K miles, tranny fluid was never flushed...It started acting funny one day, so I had the fluid flushed, screens cleaned etc etc...at 150+K, the guy at the garage couldn't believe how great the seals were, pan clean, color still nice and pink...

Sold the car 4 years later and some 50K more miles...still ran like a dream.
Man I wish I hadn't sold that thing. Would've been an nice project car today.

Flush the fluid...that's what I'd do.

I read so much about transmission threads it's driving me nuts. I guess a simple drain and refill will be good since I never tow but occasionally have a full bed of cargo every now and then. Thanks BirdDog

Might be overkill, but a friend of mine(toy master mechanic) suggested doing a drain and fill every 15,000 miles. 4 quarts every year isn't bad.

DO THE COMPLETE FLUSH!! Now is as good of time as any. Your truck will love you for it!!

Also would be a good time to drain/refill the rear differential fluid as well.

I just had my tranny flushed by the dealer today (60K miles). Definately feels smoother.
