Question fuel mileage

has anyone driven without the overdrive, for any length of time, i hate the down shifting on the road, overdrive just has no pulling power. is there a big different in gas mileage, without using the overdrive.

in my Sequoia, the gas mileage drops about 3 mpg... but it drops about 3-4mpg anyway when towing even when I leave it in overdrive.
