Default trans changing fluid

I know this is early to ask but on a 2004 Tundra made IN sept with 16k on miles when should i change/replace my trans fluid on my Tundra? Also is the complete flush worth it over just replacing the fluid in the pan?

Thanks ERIK

Personally, I don't believe in flushes. I believe in periodic drain-and-fills that keep the fluid fresh. I like to do it every 15-20k, but I don't put a lot of miles on my truck so it works out to every couple of years.

With what you are doing and as new as your truck is, a drain-and-fill would be all that you need.

My manual said 2.1 quarts, which was totally wrong. Mine took 4 quarts. I drained it into a pan, then filled up quart bottles to determine capacity.

The only filter is in the metal screen IN the trans oil pan and that applies to the 00 to 04.. The 05 tundra doesnt even have a trans stick even to check the fluid level's on compleatly a waste IN my opinion....
