This is a pic I got from the manifold builder of the interior of the 2uz intake ports. The first shot is before:

And after the runners have been ported.

So for stock engines its just goign to flow better? I hate not being mechanical.

With any manifold that goes on any motor, what you get out of it depends greatly on what you put out. On a 100% stock motor, stock intake and exhaust, the gains will be minimal. However it's a gateway to more performance. Once a supercharger is added, the manifold will allow for more power. Once a turbo is added, the manifold will allow for much more power.

There's nothing but attributes with this manifold. It's lighter than stock, built for performance where the stock manifold is built for economy, and has show winning looks.

From the looks of the short runner length, on a stock engine you'd probably see a drop in low-end torque and a slight gain in top-end HP. I wouldn't put this manifold on any truck that isn't running some kind of forced induction.

If anything the 2uz-fe could use some top end HP, no doubt about that. No more falling back after 4000rpm.

Here's some pics of the finished product. Note that this goes on a 2uz-fe fitted to a MKIV Supra, so the TB flange is extended and angle downward. The Tundra specific manifolds TB flange will set further back to accomodate the limited forward space of the engine bay,

Finished product pics can be seen here. Be sure to call Rob Welsh for details!

My thoughts precisely. Im not sure how long the stock runners are, but those are defintely short. NA or not the manifold will breathe better up top, the question to me would be exactly how high would one need to rev the motor before this manifold hit its sweet spot.

that is something i'm also eager to know...it seems that would work well with mud/off road racing...what about street and the occasional drag strip?

We're still waiting on flow numbers, and when they come in, we'll have more of an idea of it's performance. We're also working on something very special. A way to give the Tundra it's own standalone ECU, and have it be a 100% plug n' play affair. Without it, there's is no way to get around the stock Tundra TB, and accelerator position sensors.

As far as performance goes, isn't the proof in the pudding. Wouldn't it be worth taking a stock Fundra, dyno it and then dyno the same truck with your plenum to compare torque and hp changes...

It would, and that is in the works as well. First we flow it to ensure that all of the runners are lock step with one another.

Finally, the flow figures are here. As far as we can tell, this the first time the stock 2uz-fe manifold has been flowed against an aftermarket intake manifold.

I should point out that these measurements were taken at the standard 28inches of water, and CFM calculations are taken at 4500rpm.

Cylinder _________Stock _______TTC Mani

1 _____________204.81cfm_____268.03cfm

2 _____________208.54cfm_____275.57cfm

3 _____________217.85cfm_____264.40cfm

4 _____________211.06cfm_____269.99cfm

5 _____________214.13cfm_____266.26cfm

6 _____________206.67cfm_____271.85cfm

7 _____________208.54cfm_____269.98cfm

8 _____________212.06cfm_____271.85cfm

That is an average of a 27% increase in flow!!! Now this is one badass intake. Proven, and flowed!

Yes, please, contact Rob Welsh for these manifolds. Rob and I have spoken extensively about this and other Tundra projects, and he is a VERY knowlegable person.

I personally think it is underpriced considering the price of intake manifolds half its size, and without flow bench results.
