hi guys 01 tundra access,pass.side header has a tube that dog legs on a 90 degree. and the o2 sensor sits on that .toyota svc manager says o2 to far away to pick up any good reading .ever hear of this ? should have went with trd. i had (friend) do this ,found out later the y-pipe w/baffler was cut out also.so i need a new y pipe cats and manifolds to go back to stock.truck runs great but cant pass tougher inspection standards.
Unless you're in CA ssautochrome headers should pass emission tests. I've had them on my truck for about a year and half and had it tested once and they've passed just fine.
Otherwise I know JBA's are good in all states i think. It would be sad to go back to stock after having headers

Did they actually go thru with the test? Downy claims they are street legal and will pass smog tests. Maybe there is anouther problem if they already tested it and its easy for the dealer to lay blame on the headers if there not Toyota.

As far as I know they did. I wasn't there for it so I can't say. I did not have it inspected by Toyota though. I took it to a place that my family has used for the past year or so. They have been really good, never cheat us or anything and they do a great job.

No i said I did not take it to Toyota. I've had it to Toyota once and they d!cked me over so I've never been back. Only ever to my local shop for all work and inspections/emissions.

thanks guys,i also forgot to metion that check engine comes on soon after its reset .i have to check with the (ace) who installed them.toyota seems to think that o2 was welded into place .just dont see why that would be
