Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Is there a supercharger for the V8?", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I have a '94 pickup w/ maxed out 3.slow which has blown again and I'm fed up.
So I'm looking for a donor vehicle to transplant the entire driveline.
Having driven the new Toys I fell in love with the auto trans. I really like the electronic climate control too.
The current project plan is to get a wrecked Limited Runner and section the front of the frame, taking motor, trans, tcase and front suspension and section out my frame and put it back together. Then use the climate control and the rest of the interior from the Runner.
So, now I'm a hunting for a wreck and need to decide if the V6 is the answer or should I go with the V8 and I want to know if there's a supercharger available for the V8.
I did a few searches on the forum and didn't find one, is there or is there not a V8 Supercharger?

The Toyota approved TRD supercharger is available for the 4.7 V8 from 2000 - 2004. See this website Toyota Racing Development
