Lightbulb V8 Possible in a T100?

Okay here's a question for all the mechanics or experts who know all about engine swaps. I've got a 96' T100 Extended Cab with the V6 in it. Any chance of cramming a Tundra V8 into it when/if the V6 kicks out on me? I'm planning on getting a Double Cab Tundra when it hits the market but I'd still like to keep my T100 as well. I'm guessing no but I've heard of some weird swaps in the past so I had to ask. Thanks in advance....

Come on MRPOLO--- that V6 is never gonna die---unless you help it. When I was going to high school my buddys daddy had a 47 chevy. My buddy wanted to put a "smitty" muffler on it. His dad told him there was nothing wrong with the muffler on the car. I stopped by to pick him up one evening and he was under the chevy-------------with a hammer-------------trying to knock a hole in the "good" muffler. ----Buzzard

LOL I know...this baby is TOUGH. I'm a fairly aggressive driver and she's still running strong at 182,000 miles. This is just a "just in case"/"nice to know" type of question. After thinking about it I've been digging to find the weight of my T100 and see how it compares with the Tundra so I can see if there's gonna be that big a difference in performance if it is possible to get the V8 under the hood or not.

As far as fitting a 4.7L V-8 in there why not just go the route of the 3.4L and add the Supercharger (second generation) similar powerand less weight and heck you could build that puppy up!

Sure you can. If the V8 is able to fit into a celica, it'll fit the T100. Of course with some major modifications.
