Default vvtl-i???

can the lift rpm be changed in the ecu from 6000 rpm down to say 4500 or 5000 and would it take the car out of warranty?how would this be done? the car is a 2005 toyota matrix xrs

I thought lift started at 6800 in the 05 XRS. Anyway a friend with a 06 Corolla XRS told me you could buy an ecu that would drop lift to 5600or 5800rpm. That way you could stay in lift from 1st to 2nd.
