Default Differential? TRANNY!? HEEELLLLLP!

I just had my tranny replaced 6K miles ago. When I took it from the shop, it was going into reverse very hard. I was going to bring it back, but was sent out of town for work. Now, today when I left the supermarket, as I was turning out of the parking lot and felt a violent banging and clanking. As I finished the turn it went away. Now as I went through the turns to my house, It skipped and clanked in the turns, not on the sr8's.?? HELPPP!

If the noise is only on turns, it is probably the differential...but the harshness going into reverse sounds like a tranny issue...i would get it checked out ASAP!!!

I completely spaced out on this before, but just make sure the tranny has enough fluid...that can easily cause harshness...

If it's a LSD, it could be that the lubricant needs to be changed or an additive added. It may not be related to the transmission problem, but who knows?
