If anybody has either of these on their tundra, how do they sound on the 4.7L? I like the rear-exit dual borla kit but I heard the magnaflow is pretty nice too.

I can't comment on the borla but I have the magnaflow singleside exit and love it also I have the resonator removed makes it sound that much sweeter.

Ooh-rah!!!!!
I have no complaints about my borla either.
I had the borla dual catback on my 02. It sounded awesome...not super loud, but a nice deep rumble. The fit and look of borla is probably 2nd to the TRD exhaust IMO. Only complaint, and many others too, is the drone at 2k. I just couldn't deal with it. I found myself constantly going faster to stay out of that zone. But some people really don't mind it. I just wanted something a little louder than stock, but kept the same smooth drone free ride of my oem, this didn't do it for me. Do a search in this forum, you'll find tons of good info on the pros and cons of both.
I will eventually get the Magnaflow muffler and weld it in place as many have done here. I have heard it and it sounds great with no drone.![]()

I have tried Gibson, Spintech, and finally Magnaflow. The Magnaflow is the perfect muffler for me. It's not too loud and it doesn't drone at any speed or any rpm.

Borla!
I just bought an '03 AC that had a Flowmaster single in/dual out muffler that was deafening in the cab around 2k. Loved the sound of the Flowmaster when I started the truck, but my 2 year old son rides with me and I didn't want us to go deaf. I replaced it with a Magnaflow single in/dual out that greatly reduced the drone, but it is still present. My radio volume has decreased from 25 to 15 in the mornings when the system is still cold. Borla manufactures a Venturi that is inserted and tack welded in the pipe before and after the muffler and is supposed to eliminate the drone. Unfortunately I didn't see the post about this until after I had my Magnaflow welded on. Still debating seeing what it would cost to have these inserted. They only cost $15 each, and if $45 plus installation eliminated the drone, I would be very happy. But it would mean cutting the new muffler out and re-welding it in place some how, I guess with couplers holding the two cut ends together.
See this post: Borla Drone - FIX!!!
Hope this helps. If anyone has any suggestions to me, please PM me.
Thanks,
RCWebb
