Question Factory exhaust

I bought my 4x4 TRD in July of 2000. Very shortly afterwards, I did probably the dumbest thing I've ever done with a vehicle when I did not specify to the shop putting on my dual exhausts that I wanted the factory exhausts removed and returned to me intact. After being extremely dissatisfied with my duals, I didn't have the originals to go back to. The Flowmaster 40 Series I started out with were so loud I couldn't hear myself think. I replaced those with some Walker Quiet Rides, but the mufflers kept blowing out. Now I've got a single exhaust on the truck with a Flowmaster 70 Series muffler, which doesn't sound too bad, but doesn't sound as good as the factory exhaust on a friends' truck. I wish I'd left the dang exhaust alone or at the very least had enough foresight at the time to request that my factory exhaust be returned to me intact.

Toyota wants approx. $2500 bucks to order the factory exhausts, not counting labor to install. Unbelievable.

So, I guess my question is this: Does anyone know where I might find a factory exhaust system at a good price? Maybe someone can recommend a single/dual exhaust system that sounds good. Good, in my opinion, means deep sounding. I haven't found a deep sound yet in anything I've tried, and to be honest, haven't really heard a good sounding Tundra with duals yet. They're all too loud.

Thanks for any advice or input. I was a member on here back in 2000 as DeesGuy57, then kinda got away from this site. I'm amazed at the changes since I was last here. Thanks all....

Have you heard TRD or Borla? I have the TRD duals and love them. You can hear a sound clip of my exhaust at www.tundras.net. It is in the downloads section. The TRD is not too loud, but it does rumble. It has a very smooth sporty sound. It gets louder with time. I like it because it won't wear on me on a long trip, but it still sounds sweet in town. My grilfriend even thinks they sound cool. Borla sounds similar but it is a little deeper, and also a little louder.

Default Trade?

Hey Carl,
I'm not that far away in Burlington NC, and I still have the stock exhaust on my '02. Send me an E-mail or private message and maybe we can work something out. Wes

I have the OEM exhaust(less than 1000 Miles) from the cat back for $75.00 also. I have the borla dual exhaust and will never use the OEM exhaust again. I was keeping it incase mine was to rust through and I needed someting, but borla will warranty that so I don't need it.
Ryan.
