The Load Sensing Proportioning & Bypass Valve is the small widget that regulates the rear brake line pressure. It has a bleeder valve that must be bled whenever air gets into the brake lines, which typically happens during a brake fluid flush.

It's located directly under the bed between the spare tire and the fuel tank.

Ah! Yeah, I knew about that and where it is, just didn't recognize the acronym!

Thanks,

This is still around, even after pulling my rear wheels and checking it out this summer, I couldn't figure out what it was... so I decided this weekend it's time to take it in to my local indy... Just heard back, it's my left rear wheel seal that's leaking ... right went a few yrs ago. They won't touch it, suggested I take it to a dealer, I just called, I'm waiting for them to call me back with a quote. Seem like it was about $100 last time I did it, I forget... I've got my papers on it in my truck.

- Update: So, I brought it to my dealer, and they called me saying that they didn't find the rear seal leaking, but rather, that the brakes shoes and drum are rusted up, and need cleaning up, and new shoes. Well, that saved me about $ 180 or so! I like that.

- Update: I thought it saved me $180... total came to $350! Ack! They also found the breather for the differential was plugged, so they replaced that too.
For some reason, my backside feels sore...

Then, 5 miles into the ride home, doing 70 on the interstate, it starts major shaking... I slowed down to 50, before it subsided... strange. Then, I sped back up, and it was there, but not as bad.... Not sure what that was all about. I'll keep my eye on it and try that again. I called the dealer to report what it did as soon as I got it back under control some.
