Default Using Universal Oxygen Sensors?

Both of my fromt O2 sensors are bad, Will the universal ones (that are much cheaper) fit and work. And, are they hare to install? Thanks.

i went with ngk o2 sensor from spark plugs . com.

i have big hands. the special wrench was necessary.
i am glad i did not complicate the job by having to rewire the universal.

if u r handy u might get by with universal. to me the oem was worth it.

Be very careful that the universal sensor is an true replacement for what you are removing. I do not know the specifics of the Tundra sensors, but on Siennas they are "air/fuel ratio sensors" on 2001-up models. What that is, is a wideband oxygen sensor which is not the same as a "universal" oxygen sensor and the two are not electrically compatible. Installing the universal sensor (which fits just fine) causes another check engine light very quickly. In my experience the universal sensor is cheap (~$80), while the OEM A/F ratio sensor costs more (~$200). Note that if the universal sensor doesn't work properly, now the experience costs $280. How many miles have you got? There is an extended warranty from Toyota that covers these sensors for 7 years or 90k miles for 2000-mid 2002 models.
