I need to know how much of the bed rail the retrax bed cover covers.
I have an '05 DC Tundra and am considering pulling the factory caps off and having Line-X installed over the rail but I don't want to weld the holes up. Will the retrax cover the holes left by the factory caps? Will it be able to seal next to Line-X?
Any regrets over having purchased Retrax vs. anything else?
I agree wit BRW above, about 1/2 of stake holes are covered. I love my retrax. Ordered it from <truckgadets.com> in Dallas. If you have any questions call "Ed" at # on web page. He is extremely knowledgable and quite kind and helpful to someone who knew less than nothing about these covers a few months ago. I also installed the electric locks for cover and tailgate--thats really cool--operates off my truck remote opener. Good luck. Bill Peel

I ordered a Retrax with stake pocket cutouts.I put Bully retactable tie downs in them. You know you'll have to take off the two front bed tie downs if the design of the Rerax hasn't changed?
Its pretty good but a little warn. Not water proof. And the lock is not as secure as Roll n Lock. But I have seen a lot of messed up Roll n Locks.
I wish I could find the perfect bed cover for ALL hauling needs.I have been thinking tool box/Tonneau.

The new generation RETRAX you do NOT have to remove the front tie downs now...although you can't really use them either. Also Retrax makes a model that is compatible with a toolbox! The toolbox sits in front of the RETRAX.
as for stake pocket coverage...others are right the Retrax covers about 1/2 of the stake pocket....if you are getting Line-x, I suggest you leave the plastic rail cover on, get "under the rail" Line-X and keep the stake pocket covers in.....you can always use a dremel to cut out the RETRAX bed rails around the stake pockets if you want to use tie downs or overhead rack systems.
