Question Doors lock with NO beep and Interior lights stay on?!

So last week my truck stopped beeping when I hit the lock on the key FOB and it made a locking sound twice the I could hear. So I found out that when I press the door jam button, the rubber piece in, the interior lights still don't go off with no beep but the doors will lock. So I figured it was just the door jam rubber piece. So I replaced it today and things still are not right. Doors still locking twice and no beep and the interior lights still won't go off. ( and yes I have the lights set to door on only and not on all the time). What else could be wrong??? I don't have any clue what else could possibly be wrong besides the cable has shorted out somewhere. Anyone have any clues??? I'm stumped. It is so nerve racking not hearing the beep going off when i lock the doors cause I'm not sure if it locked my truck or not. I did a search and didn't come up with anything close. Thanks for the help guys.

Any shops around the DMV to install TRD headers

First off, my name is Alex. Been a TS forum lurker for a while and I thank you guys so much for the info you guys provide. I have a 02 Sequoia Limited. Been having some issues with it, the usual VSC codes and blowing off the EFI 1 & or 2 fuses etc. Read how to fix the problem and do the ZPC and worked like a charm. Now I have another code, but I'm not to concern about it just yet.

Anyways, so I know it's been beaten to death, and I have done a search but all I get is old a$$ links. I recently bought some used TRD headers. Drove to a few places and was quoted some ridiculous numbers to install them; that was at the 2 shops that actually said they would install them. The rest didn't even want to try. I'm a very hands on guy, and have no problems doing it myself if it were a bolt on part, but since the flange has to be welded I gave up on that idea. When it comes to cars, I know a lot of the performance shops in the area, but they do just cars or since they're not familiar they are quoting me some high numbers. I want to find a place that specializes in trucks, hopefully Toyota ones. I would like to find a place that knows exactly what I'm talking about and know how much time it will realistically take to do this and how much they will charge.

Any help will be much appreciated!

New member here with a 2012 Tundra double cab, 4.6L 4x4. Like the truck a lot so far, I've had it for a few months. Do have a question though, I checked the rear differential fluid before we towed our camper to the lake, and when I removed the fill plug, there was audible pressure built up in the differential. So, I checked it a few days later and again enough pressure to hear the air loss when the fill plug was loosened. Anyone have this problem, and wouldn't constant built-up pressure cause future seal leaks? I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket differential vents to replace the 50 cent one on the diff now that would work better. Thanks in advance.

So this just started today. I have a '06 SR5 DC and when I start her up, all the lights come on the dash as usual and then the maintenance light stays on and flashes a couple of times and then turns off. It also will turn off once I put it in gear and start driving.

I've heard some people in here talking about seafoam messing up the cat pipes and sometimes messing up CELs. Can anyone tell me what this is before I take my baby to my mechanic? I have 2 good mechanics that I have been using for years so I trust them considerably but I want to get the opinions of some of you guys in here since everyone has been so kind with all of my noob questions and my crazy project ideas. I just got my oil changed with synthetic recently and it wasn't doing it until today. I don't abuse the truck in anyway even with the "light" amount of fun that I have with it. I did take her up to 100mph on the turnpike heading home one day after work and she ran smooth as silk. That was about a week ago. Now she has 96kmiles on the dial.

Any info will always be appreciated and thanks in advance.:D

I'm looking at purchasing a Tundra to tow a boat and trailer of about 7000 lbs.

The truck I'm looking at, the owner says it has 4.10 gears and the tow/haul option. I thought the tow package added the 4.30 gears. How do I tell if it has the towing package that will tow the listed 10,000 lbs?

. . . I've been waiting to do this for a long time.

I have 80W 9006 bulbs in my fog lights and they have been awesome, much better than the stock 50W bulbs-or whatever Watts the stock lights came with. Thing is, my housings are pitted terribly from all the years of getting hit with everything on the roads.

I ordered a new set of fog light housings from 1AAuto for like $90 shipped.

I ordered an HID kit, 35W 4500K, 9006 for $55 shipped.

Lamin-X fog light plastic for like $20 shipped.

Well I got my new platinum and was dead set on adding a supercharger and TRD exhaust. I am now...

Well I got my new platinum and was dead set on adding a supercharger and TRD exhaust. I am now realizing that $6500 for the SC and install just seems ridiculous. I have the money to do it but just cant seem to wrap my head around the price tag and value of the upgrade. I am thinking of just doing the TRD intake and TRD exhaust and calling it good. The only reason for the SC is to a smile on my face each time I hammer it but I am not so sure its worth that much money. When I had a 2000 Tacoma the SC was like $2500 and $700 install and well worth it but on the Tundra it just seems priced too high.

What do you guys think about the TRD intake and Exhaust combo? I already am familiar with the TRD intake because I had it on my last 2009 Tundra and loved it so that is a certainty. The exhaust my wife is already complaining if its loud she wont like it. I just want some good healthy sound but nothing annoying at cruise speeds.

So give me some thoughts about the SC and if its worth the cost. Also with the feedback from others having misfire issues I am scared about risking that amount of money on something that may have issues. I understand its the internet and what we read is often obscured but I wonder just how much truth there is to the misfires and SC related issues.

finally got my truck back from the shop yesterday, went with the 4.5 TC lift, billys up front (not 5100) they are blue and yellow, and the rs9000 in the rear... everything was so rusted together from 6+ years of salt in NYS, they had over 4 days or work into the truck, plus the parts that were missing from the lift... heres the terrifieng part... $3500 in labor... i just about threw up when he told me that... so plus the lift, tires, and labor, im almost 5k into this truck... i could have bought a lifted jeep to beat the **** out of for that price... or bought a 300zx to run around in... but anyways, this truck is BAD ASS! and with what everyone has said with not being able to fit the tires... they fit, no rubbing at full lock on the road... i do though feel some grinding right before i stop or when i speed up from a stop... but after 10mph its gone... not sure what it is... truck actually rides smoother than it did before the lift... pics to come for all you !

So its time for new shocks and I dont know what I should do. I have ProTec EZ Lift 2.5" spacers currently installed on my 2001 and am running 285/75/16's with absolutley no rubbing issues. Should I use my stock TRD coil springs with 133k on them and purchase adjustable bilsteins, removing the 2.5" spacers, or should I purchase new coil overs such as the the Toytec's? I would end up just purchasing the Toytec Ultimate lift without the diff drop since I already have a diff drop installed. Other than the advantage of an easy swap out from my current set up to the pre assembled coilovers is there going to be big advantages of going with the Toytec coilovers over the adjustable Bilsteins with stock TRD coils?
The rear would get the new Bilsteins and I would end up changing the 1" blocks for the AAL that comes with the Toytec kit. I typically run about 20-25lbs of air in the bags, will this in any way negatively affect the rear Bilsteins that are designed to work with up to 1" of rear lift?
