Guys,

Didn't have much luck searching so I thought I would post it up. I am helping a friend who isn't very familiar with working on vehicles. Anyway, 2003 Tacoma and some of the lights on the gear shifter (to tell you which gear you are in) are intermittently working. Guessing a lose wire or bulb. Anyway, does anyone have a write-up or link that shows how to remove whatever needs removed to get to these bulbs?

Also, are these replaceable as single bulbs or are they a strip with holder??

Thanks for your help.
Jonny

Is anyone towing 4500-5000lb with a tacoma? (pre 2005)

Just curious as I have a 06 V8 Tundra DC which is actually more truck than I need.

I would be looking at 03-04 DC 4x4 tacoma and need to pull a 4500lb, 25' ultralight travel trailer.

Look forward to response from folks that have experience with similar setup.

Regards

Tomorrow I'm going to check out a 02 Taccoma 4x4 with crew cab and the TRD package.

I am wondering if you guys can give some adivce on what to look out for on high mile Tacomas.

I've seen pics of the truck and it actually looks well maintained and beat to death. Of course they say it's highway miles:dry: but I want to put together a checklist to make sure everything is GTG if I decide buy it.

Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone has removed the stripe decals from there 1st gen tacoma? I'd like to achieve a newer look but not if it is a huge pain/mess. . I just got a 95 4x4 five speed man. 115,000 miles from one solid owner- a good guy. Seems to run hotter than I think it should, with no indication of leaks, I am convinced I smell burning oil, and I hear a faint ticking over 2500 hundred rpm. Do I have a big problem, do they all run this way? I love this truck but its freaking me out. thank u much

Does anyone else have one of these installed? Is there any truth to the concept, or is it my imagination that it works? I have a 2.4L 2000 Tacoma and was never happy with the lame power...I wanted a 2.7L and the used car liar at the stealership told me it was (that will not happen again now that I know what to look for). I installed one of these, and although it did not increase gas mileage, there is a noticeable increase in power. I have surprised a lot of cars, including 300 series BMWs who thought they could outrun me at a green light, and it's really noticable on steep inclines. Any thoughts? Below is the link to the website, for those curious or unfamiliar:
