I just picked up my new Limited last night and I want to change the woodgrain window switch panels (on all 4 doors) and the woodgrain shift knob.

Should I:

a)Attempt to paint them with grey paint that matches the rest of the truck? (what Toyota should have done from the factory!!!)

b)Attempt to swap them with someone who wants the woodgrain? What are the chances of someone being interested?

c)Buy new grey switch panels from the dealer? Anyone have a part number or general idea of cost?

:ts:

I want panels like this:

But I got woodgrain (Not my truck... I have Graphite interior)

I have the 60/40 front seat with the flip down console, problem is it does not flip up very high. Does anybody out there know if its possible to make it "recline" a bit more?
I'm planning to take it apart this week but if anybody else has done it or failed trying I'd like to know.

Alright folks, I've been contemplating for a long time and when I should do this. I think now is the best time since the exterior of my vehicle is starting to really take off as far as looks.

I want to redo the interior of my truck. My color scheme is black and white. White is the predominant color on the outside with some black accents. I want black to be the predominant color on the inside with white accents.

So I'm looking to do the following:

Black carpeting (replace gray)

White Suede Head liner

Black A, B & C pillars

Black dash and door panels with white accents

Gauge Cluster LED swap to white with blue needles.

Blue Interior LED lighting (complete)

Black leather seats with white accents and custom headrest embroidering

So my questions are:

Where can I acquire this stuff for cheap?
Who here has done it?
Any recommendations?

And toss any and all feedback at me! I want to know your opinions!

The outside drivers side mirror on my 2005 Tundra Double Cab Limited has multiple cracks in the mirror itself. Is it possible and if so, how hard is it to replace just the mirror portion of this unit? If it can't be done, I have to find a painted one to match - exterior is black.

Interior Light Mod - Kids in Backseat

Now that my son is forward facing in his car seat, I realize that its pitch black in the cabin while driving at night. The dome light is too bright and I'd worry about leaving it on and killing the battery. So I saw this LED push light at Lowe's and gave it a shot:

Well it fits perfectly in the rear cup holder spot. I push it, and it lights straight up but its just enough light. For 7 bucks, I was pretty happy with it.

Has anyone else done a mod similar to this?

Seat Heater Wiring

I finally got around to wiring my aftermarket seat heaters and I'm hoping I can get a few opinions.

They're each supposed to be on a 15 amp fuse and the kit came with inline 15 amp fuses to wire in. I put the switches in the factory locations and am drawing power from the lighter for one and the 12V accessory outlet for the other. The lighter, not being on switched power, isn't the best place to grab power though, if I forget to shut the heater off it won't go off with the ignition.

Can I replace the original 15 amp fuse for the 12V outlet with a 30 amp, wire both heaters to that circuit with the 15 amp inlines for each? That puts both on a switched circuit, puts a 15 amp fuse on each, and still leaves me the lighter for call phone charger, etc.

I think it makes sense and I think it's ok to do it this way but I'd feel better if somebody could back it up for me.
