How to turn off seat belt beepin????

Where is the fuse? Or how do i go about turning off that stupid sensor? My moms sets antiques in her fj in the seat next to her and that thing beeps all day long. She also drives at least a mile before she puts on her seat belt and it beeps the entire time I am riding with her until she puts it on. Yes i know she does put her seat belt on but she doesn't right when she gets in. How do I go about turning that stupid thing off?

Don't take this as a lecture....
Get her to put her belt on right away (Statistics show most accidents occur within a short distance from the home.) and simply plug the unused seat belt into its socket while the antique is sitting on it.

Go To Fjcruiserforums.com And Search For "seatbelt Buzzer". There Is A Sequence You Can Accomplish With The Ignition, Odometer Button, And Your Seatbelt That Will Disable The Noise. I'd Reference It For You Right Now, But I'm At Work And That Website Is Blocked To Me From Here. It Works...buzzer Is Disabled And The Only Thing That Notifies You Is The Little Red Flashing Light On Your Dash.

AS FOR THE LECTURE ABOUT WEARING YOUR SEATBELT...I'LL SPARE YOU FROM THAT. LOOKS LIKE SOMEBODY ALREADY TOOK CARE OF THAT. LAST TIME I CHECKED, IT'S A FREE COUNTRY AND IF YOU (OR YOUR MOM) DON'T WANT TO WEAR YOUR SEATBELT, THEN SO BE IT.

Yeah we just had two guys killed when thrown from their truck, while the passenger wearing the seatbelt had moderate injuries. I too have the groceries in the seat problem, so I put them on the floor. Your manual in the glovebox tells you how to disable the alarm, but i leave mine on for kids and dummies who ride with me.

My mom doesn't put her seatbelt until she gets out of the driveway chill. She has never had a ticket in her entire life and 0 wrecks. Chill.

Seat belt chime
1. Turn the ignition switch on (without starting car)
2. Press the ODO/TRIP switch until the odometer displays "ODO"
3. Turn the ignition switch off
4. Turn the ignition switch on
5. Press ODO/TRIP switch immediately (within 6 seconds after turning the power switch ON) and hold it down for 10 seconds or more.
6. Continue holding the ODO/TRIP switch and fasten the front passenger's seat belt.
7. Check that the odometer displays either "b-on" or "b-off" (it will be "b-on")
8. Press the ODO/TRIP button to change the display to "b-off".
9. Turn the ignition switch off.
10. Turn the ignition switch on while depressing the brake pedal.
11. Check that no buzzer sounds when setting on the front passenger seat.
