Question MPG affected by a lift kit

I have a 2008 FJ. I was getting 16-17.5 MPG all through the first 1000 miles. I installed a 2" lift kit on the front only to level the rig. Ever since the best MPG I can get is 14.8-15.5. Could 2" change the frontal profile enough to affect MPG? Has anyone else observed this? Your feedback is apprecated.

Makes sense that it would get less MPG.Yu create more front end lift and drag.A Simple study in aerodynamics backs this up. The FJ has a high cf to begin with.LT

I second that, there are many reasons why vehicles are higher in the rear... I wouldn't try to level it out, though it may look better its not practical.

Yup this holds true for the Tundra as well. Woody did a lift and he said his city mpg went down approx .5miles per gallon and his hwy went down around 1 mpg.

This was keeping stock rugged trails.
