Hi,

Yes, I am planning on picking one up in April. I have been following the FJ's progress from concept vehicle to production. Can't wait to drive it.

Seriously considering this to replace my Camry in the spring. (I miss the up-high visibility of my old Taco.)

Make mine a 4WD 6-speed manual, silver.

I haven't seen anything about LATCH or anchor points for the back seats. Anybody have any idea if they're included?

I was in one Sunday and yes I believe it did have the latch system. I too was curious about it because it makes things so much easier.

I believe that the LATCH anchors are mandatory now.

I bought my FJ 4 days ago and I love it. The only problem that I had with this car is that when it rains, the water smears all over the glass rather than flying off like a regular angled windshield. I think this has to do with the flat glass. Visiblity was a problem even with three wipers. Other than that, this is my first Toyota and I am glad I got rid of my Grand Cherokee. It had too many problems.

Took delivery on Saturday.
Silver 4x4 with auto transmission
convenience package
option package #2 with subwoofer ---very nice
ipod works well in the aux jack which is conveniently located above the console/shift lever deck
the plastic floor/all weather floor mats are spill proof
seats are coated and have a plastic/goretex? liner under the fabric that is breathable but keeps liquids out
the gunslit windows are a great advantage if you live in a sunny area, less light to penetrate and roast you
the flat windshield sits way out front on a long dash with a mapholder b/n you and the windshield---this is where the gps kit will go
I have filled up three times and have 550 miles averaging 19 mpg---mostly highway
Towed my 2000 lb boat trailer---no problem
ride is very crisp on the road---rides like an fj or jeep
Turning radius is very good
I will take it off road this weekend and I will get back after that.

I test drove one on Saturday. Unbelievable power and braking and the turning radius is incredibly tight. They only had one as a demo vehicle and all the ones to be delivered were already sold which were selling at <edit> MSRP <edit>. I have no interest in paying <edit> MSRP <edit> and will probably wait until there are more on the lot and buy something later in the year. My wife, of course, wants it now.

I'm seriously impressed with the vehicle.

I would pay invoice for one. That is a lot better than MSRP!

I beleive that they will be MSRP + thru mid to late summer depending on dealer. Most of the ones here are all presold. I am sure some will fall thru the crack, but they don't last long. Hope you can get one under MSRP with no outrageous DOC/processing fee.

If any of you live in Orange County, CA and is interested in getting one, let me know. I can get it for sticker. Other people are paying four thousand over sticker.

The few fleet guys I've spoken with are all willing to go MSRP. I think the best deal might be had is MSRP with $3k max on a credit card for flight miles or $ rebate and maybe a little off on accessories.

I've seen accessories already advertised on the internet (toyotapeople.com?) for less than MSRP. Rock rails, tow hitch, RS 3200 (no alarm or engine immobilizer on this car) etc... .

I gave my local dealer some $$$'s to get on the wait list. He claims a 3-4 month wait for the options I want... I guess I could go out of state and get one sooner but I'm in no rush. Things move a little slower down here in NM... No "its really hot right now" dealer markup either. I would not pay over msrp
