I saw one today on the way to work (east HWY 8) a blue one, I was like WOW. It looks a lot better close to it. I would consider saving for one.

Wow, I hate it when dealerships or any company marks ANYTHING up for sale. I like getting new technology and I was on Apple's list of first adopters for the new iPod Nano. Great device, trouble free.

I drove past my dealership yesterday and saw the new FJ Cruiser. I even started a thread about my impressions;

http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...tundra-owners/

I like its design. Very nice, nostalgic, design. I drove by my dealership earlier today, and the three FJs were sold. I think Toyota has a winner on their hands.

As for any mention of any foul act on any non-personal property, go ahead and do it. I'd love to see the video from the dash cam of the police cruiser of that arrest. It'd be the funniest thing.

It's a cool ah thing suv seats suck tho and $6000 over msrp like my dealer wants is crazy they can keep it. I think they jacked the price so it stays on the lot to show and draw in people, and if it actually sells they make a mint. right now it's a rip off and 17 mpg city sucks.
heres the sticker pic shows whats on it.

Dealers will sometimes do what you mentioned, but I don't know if this true in this case. I've seen it done with the hybrid Toyotas. You can buy the one on the lot with the markup, or you can order one at MSRP. It's a way to have one on the lot to demonstrate without completely taking it off the market if somebody really wants one.

Wow I can't believe some of your dealers are marking them up that much. That's total BS. My wife and I pulled the trigger Saturday and bought one. We paid $33750 Canadian for a 4x4 auto with the B package. That package got us A-trac, the locker in the rear, rear backup sonar, roof rack, and 17" alloys. We also opted for the factory sliders. We even got them to upgrade the tires to 265/70 17 BFG AT's. MSRP was 34 something. I'll have to check when I get home from work. We can take possesion of it Tuesday afternoon. It's going to be my wifes new ride. I snaped some shots of my truck next to our new vodoo blue FJ. I'll post them when I get home.

Yeah ours has sliders coming hopefully next week, they have to order them in Monday,265/70/17 BFG AT's, the roof rack wheels +++. It's pretty much loaded all it's missing is the upgraded stereo with the subwoofer the clinometer/temp gauge cluster in the center of the dash and a few minor trim details. The MSRP minus the sliders and the upgrade to BFG AT's was $34,440. We are paying $33750 all in, plus tax of course. My family has bought 4 Toyota's from this dealer this being the fifth so they were good to us. Here's a pic of the FJ and the spec sheet with MSRP. Remember these prices are Canadian.

OK thats the diff in price the currency diff. I liked it very much but the seat needs a lumber bladder. Enjoy and let us know how it compares with the Tacoma it is the same platform or not.

Yeah my seats in the Tacoma are a little more comfy, but I like how the FJ's are black and are water resistent. The platform looks very similar but it's not exactly the same you can tell just by looking under the truck. For one the FJ is a ton shorter as you know, it also has a fully boxed frame. I know the rear diff is the same but the pumpkin looks a lot different as well. I love the 4x4 lever, it is perfectly placed for me and I thought and worked like a charm. I have had no issues with my dial, but shifting the lever and feeling the transfercase engaging was nice, somewhat rewarding. I'm looking forward to Tuesday when I can really inspect everything in great detail. I'll give a better comparo after I've had more time with it.
