I'll be turning 35 next month. I'd like to get an FJ by this time next year, so I'll be about 36 by then. I've got other old cars. I've always wanted a first generation Bronco. Figure an FJ would be more practical, and maybe help satisfy the old Bronco urge, plus be more reliable and comfortable. I'll be driving it for at least ten years. I currently drive a '95 Formula, so I'm somewhat used to stiff rides, limited passenger space, etc., and I'll sell that to get something new. I've had the fast car, so now I'd like to have the off-road experience once again to help "balance me out". Also want to take the wife camping. Think I'll be too old for an FJ? I don't have any kids, and won't. I still don't own an iPod.
The FJ ,as far as I see, are not going to to the "young". When you see a persepctive buyer looking to buy they are the 30 somethings and 40 somethings and not the 20 somethings targeted. $30,0000 - $37,000 CDN for a fully loaded FJ is still a big chunk of change no matter how you look at it. I bought one for my birthday and I just turned 39. You should buy one if it fits your lifestyle. Some might even say I'm having a mid life crisis, I say its my mid life christmas!
im 45 and thing of buying one for my wife who will be 47 this year. i look at its just a number

It doesn't matter how old you are. If the shoe fits, wear it (I think that's how it goes). FJ is an awsome vehicle, that, with its many utilities, will cater to a very broad spectrum of people. Go ahead, guys! Indulge!

Ha i like that mid life Christmas, I got the tundra cause i wanted one before i croaked,
now I'm still here and it's paid for in Nov. I mite do it again.
the FJ looks more and more like a chicks jeep. but with a few mods
it could look wild.. I would buy it if it fits. Life is short enjoy the ride.
Too old? 46 here - just ought an FJ and loving it. Wife, kids, all are enjoying it. Ask me when I am 86 and then maybe I'll tell you I am too old for anything!
LIVE FOR TODAY- YOU MAY NOT BE HERE TOMORROW!!!!
If you want it go for it !
LIFE IS TO SHORT- ENJOY IT
No, I dont have an I-pod either and wont.
BUY the FJ , you wont regret it, you will regret it if your dont, It will always eat away at you. "WHAT IF"
Things happen for a reason in my book, if the opportunity arises to get an FJ, Jump and dont look back.

I'll be turning 33 this year- but feel like im 18 again with my 6speed Fj. Your not too old. Hope you and your wife do get it and it makes you young again like it does for me- priceless!
Too old LOL Nope not at all. Get what you like. If you have the income for a 30K FJ, do it .
Never noticed them much until I saw one at the dealership. I gotta say wow! it is one sweet off-road vehicle. Love how you can thow muddy dogs in the back, get the floors all muddy and dirty, and just use a hose to spray all the crap out of the truck. It is roomy for a vehicle with "suicide" doors. Absolutley like it, BUT it is not practical for me at the moment; tons of bills and those 1 year no interest on applicances and electronics are starting to rear its ugly head .

39 here, Drove the FJ, Liked it all except the view out the truck. It's just the windows are all narrow and its just odd sitting in the thing like that. If by calling yourself old you are implying (perhaps) that you are pratical then you need to spend some time in it to see if those "style" things are going to drive you nuts in the long run. Other then that I liked the ride, power etc. It's a nice setup. Too bad you can't see the view as you tool around in the mountains.
