Can I get a repair manual for the 2007 FJ? I would take a DVD or hard copy. I just purchased a new FJ and the salesman said I could not buy one.
Thanks
Toyota service publications, including owner's manuals, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams may be purchased from the Toyota Material Distribution Center or your local Toyota dealership. Vol 1 138.95 - Maint and transmission
Vol 2 108.07 - Suspension and Brakes
Vol 3 107.35 - Cruise control and interior
Electrical Manual - 89.72
Are these the prices???? That's $444.09! I'm going to have to factor this into the price of the vehicle.
GM may not build the best cars (meaning you'll probably need the service manuals) but at least you can get a full set of factory service manuals for a reasonable price, about $150.
Once again, by the time you will need some toyota tech wanting to make money will put it on cd for 15.00 bucks or less. And I never known anyone to buy GM boof for 150$. Just my 2 cents.

[quote=nhparrot]You could also purchase a subscription to TIS and download what you want.
Does the subscription have the complete manual available? I'm trying to get a wiring diagram for installing an electric brake controller. I need the brake light switch output and a 20 amp fused feed for the controller. Most towing packages have a special plug for this. My dealer does not have any info on wiring details.

Is it practical to download entire service manuals from this site, or do you only get bits and pieces? At $350 per year, it is out of my price range for any long term use.

Yeah, you're right skisurf. I just looked up this up for the Hummer H3:
I subscribed for a month for $50 and saved service manual PDF's for my '06 Avalon, my parents '04 Camry and my daughters '98 Corolla. Takes some hours but it's a lot cheaper. You also only have to download the pdf's you need or think you will ever want, the manuals are full of stuff I'd never touch myself, like the ABS system, computer systems, transmission and engine rebuilds etc. If you find you missed something in the future you can buy another month subscription or even a one day subscription.
