Default Advice Needed - Lifts, tires, intake, etc

I'm looking at ordering an FJ and I want to get a good lift, which I haven't done before. I assume there are no kits yet - any advice on the best way to do this? Also, how high of lift and tire size?

What other things would you do to make this a "dream" off-roader?

Picture attached of lifted FJ with a winch that was at Supercross here in Seattle. It looked GOOOOD. Where do I find this winch??

I put a 3" Revtek lift with BF goodrich Mudterain 33's. No mods needed to anything else on the FJ for this lift and love it so far. I will have some pics later Friday.

Donahoe Racing has coilovers for the front end of the FJ. Go to Donahoe Racing. I have their coilovers for my Tundra, for the money you can't get a better coilover.

After lots of research and listening to folks that have lists and do moderate to difficult trail runs, I have narrowed my lift search to Old Man Emu (OME) or Demello Off Road. Both OME and Demello have kits available for the FJC. After the lift, tire size is up to you. As posted here, the largest tire I've seen used is 285 or 33" or the "average" (read non-sponsored) rig. Personally, I added stock size BFG AT KOs. In retrospect, I would have gone with 275/70/17 or similar (+1 size) size. Good luck.

I drove an FJ today at the dealer, he said it was a 4 inch lift. It had Huge tires, 305/?/18's somethings on it, ARB with a winch. It was sweet, and it drove perfect, I didnt see any difference between this one and the stock truck.

Hmm, now I have to think about tradingmy 05 Tundra DC.
