Vibration in the steering wheel/floor board

Anyone experiencing vibrations in the steering wheel at 3100 RPM? You don't have to be driving to experience it. Also, there seems to be a gear-slipping noise under the floorboard when I turn right and applying heavy throttle. Not sure what to make of it. Anyone else experience these vibrations?

Note: I'm aware of the tire recall but this vibration is present while in park.

I found the solution on an other thread for the Vibration. it could be the heat shield over the drivers side exaust pipe. Mine was vibrating at 2150 rpm and I put some rubber hose between the shield and the body and it is all smooth now. I don't know about the shift problem. Good luck

i found heatshield on gas tank chaffing and vibrating on first lube job i did , the big problem i am having is when ya start up and their is a loud motor boat plastic vibration coming from under steering wheel/dash? ya push on steering wheel and it goes away? but ya gotta push hard with both hands? need to take it to dealer soon! my 92 camry had a similar problem and still does it to this day, thank god it's intermitent problem!!

i felt that same gear slipping noise/vibration when the tires were spinning on the snow. just got done posting about it and i'm a little concerned about it. didn't feel right

Weird, I just felt that same thing in the rear of my ride when I was making a turn and pressing the gas. I guess if you guys have experienced the same thing, it can't be too abnormal?!? Anyhoo, I have been driving my FJ pretty carefully since I just bought it about a week and a half ago. I don't think I've really floored it or even gone over 75 mph. I have put on about 450 miles though...
