Default Job says no lights = HELP

Job says no lights = HELP

I have permission to cross two private ranches to get to where I spot wildlife for photos. My problem is my agreement with the rancher is that I will not use any lights while on his property. He doesn't want me to spook any wildlife on his property. I am being told my new FZ Cruiser which I pick up on the 21,2006 of December has daytime running lights and the dealer is not allowed to disconnect them.

Can anybody tell me how or lead me to instructions on how to shut the daytime running light off?????

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

I guess the first thing I'd suggest is to cut some cardboard covers and duct tape them over the headlights for your cross-ranch run. Seems easier than a wiring solution, or worth a try until one is suggested.
Once there, starting the engine with the handbreak on would leave the headlights off, if stationary.
Of course, installing a moonroof would help if shooting from the FJ....

You can try unplugging the Daytime Running Light Resistor.

I just lift the E-brake till the light goes out put something under it. As long as the brake is not activated it is not an issue.I used this method since new on my 92 4X4 without an issue. You just have to make sure the brake is not on at all.

If I can't figure out anything else your idea will work.

Thanks

Build me a little block or and put it under the brake to hold it in place.

Thanks,

roger

My Cruiser arrived and the first thing we did was disconnect the daytime running lights.

thanks,
roger

I E-mailed the instructions to you. Remember it is diffulcult to get you hand in the tight spot and then you have to press the thingie to seperate it.

Good Luck

As of now I haven't gotten it back. You might want to check your spam folder.
