Default Help with the a pillar

I have been trying to find instructions that I saw on line that show how to remove the A Pillar cap on the outside so that you can run wires for lights. I thought it was part of the installation guide on the Gobi rack, but no luck. It was detailed and had good diagrams of how to remove the inside panel on the A Pillar which allowed you access to some screws to the outside cap. I would feel better tearing into the A pillar, which also houses an air bag, if I knew for sure what I was doing.

Any help would be appreciated.
