The sacrifice of the sunroof is for rigidity and overall strength, considering the enormous amount of stress that the body and frame would under go when off road. Not to mention debris and other hazards that are not advantageous to glass on the roof. This was the perfect opportunity to incorporate an acoustic addition that allows frequencies and vibration to travel up and through the roof for added sound quality and response. COOL technology and if not for the first reason then Toyota may have not been able to add this feature.

Hey - I am new to this site....thought I would say hello.

I havea 2007 FJ just like the one in the pics that got the sunroof. I NEED to get one but am torn between which one to go with. I am looking at the Webasto Panoramic 524 (HUGE) and the similiar model made by Inafala.

I spoke with one guy who will only do the Inafala one and two other companies that do the Webasto. Does anyone have any input?

I'd like to get any feedback before I go blow $1600+ on this thing.
