The Tundra paint appears to be of a higher quality (when viewing side-by-side), so I am hoping this is a model-specific problem.

Hey guys. I'm just finding out about these details. I have a 2008 silver FJ Cruiser, and I have to admit that I also, in the first three months of owning it, found several chips on the paint. The dealer also told me it was because of the trip I make every morning to work, but I also explained it had never happened with my other cars. So they pretty much got rid of any responsibility. They even offered me that they could use some kind of brush to repaint the chips (special brush and original silver paint), and that would be on very low cost. Do you think Toyota will ever issue a recall regarding the paint problems?
Also, regarding the windshields, it is unbelievable, that only one month after driving it, my winsdhield got a little crack, and then in one more month, two more cracks, so I went to the dealer and had it replaced. I paid only 20% of the insurance policy, so it was not bad. After having my new windshield, 2 other cracks have appeared, and so this time I am going to wait at least for other 5 cracks, so I won't spend so much time having it fixed. Is this a problem of engineering? Is the glass of the windshield too thin? I would expect it to be thick, specially if the truck has 100% off road capabilitities and specifications.
Other than those, is the C pole, which is annoying at first, but you just got to get used to it, and after that, you use the other 'can't see' features.
