Hi everyone. Im lovin my FJ and am going to install an after market hitch and Toyota wiring harness. Anyway, I have noticed the rear bumper red lights operating on another FJ. Mine do not illuminate. Before I go back to the dealer could it be that I am missing something?

Could the bumper lights be part of the dealer or port installed tow bar/tow hitch option? What condition did you see them operate? Braking? I 'll check mine as soon as I get a spotter while I Brake.

I swear I saw them lit as he was passing me (no brakes), however, I have now been told that they are only reflectors. (Maybe the guy wired them?) (or maybe Im nuts)

I checked my FJ tonight. Mine are just reflectors. I have the towing package. It would be nice to have them light though.
