This is a discussion thread titled "exhaust video - flowmaster 50 series", within the Forced Induction Systems forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
hey, sounds mean, I was wondering if you get a chance i would like to hear maybe a drive by... or have the truck out of the garage and set the camera alittle farther away... say 50' or so... i'm just wondering what it would be like for my neighbors to hear me coming up the street. thanks
thumbster, your exhaust sounds great man. Love the sound, hope I didn't go wrong ordering he 40 series....
Check back on Wednesday, I'm having two 40 series flowmasters installed with turn downs and h-pipe.
Post up a clip when you get the 40 series installed. I havn't decided between the 40 or 50. I wonder if the 40 creates a lot more drone on the freeway...

I had to bump up the outlet size from 2.25 to 2.5 inches - no biggy on a flowmaster due to the tapered inlets/outlets. This won't pose a problem with flow capacity, since internally it's the same as the others. Not sure why they don't offer larger pipe diameters on this style of muffler.

Cool Thanks. I wanted the 50suv and 2.5" Did you use adapters or stretch the pipe?

I cut the inlet pipe to the muffler right at where the taper starts and expanded the remaining part to fit the o.d. of the incoming/outgoing piping.

sounds awesome love that setup. i got super40 duel in duel out except they are running at 45 degree out of the back. sounds extra loud when you crank it up in the garage. the super40 is not as loud as some of yall think it is. it has a very little drone at around 70mph. 6 speed trans helps out alot with that.
how is the drone on the feeway? if you are a steady 75 mph is it annoying ot can you not hear it?
Absolutely ZERO zip nada no drone very even sound levels at all rpms, only gets louder when your right foot wants it to
