This is a discussion thread titled "exhaust video - flowmaster 50 series", within the Forced Induction Systems forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Hi Guys - here's a link to a youtube video clip of my exhaust. It's a 50 series SUV flowmaster 2.5" dual in/out. Sorry about the clipping/distorted audio. Let me know what you think

Sounds nice! I was going to run my super40 that way, but we decided to just dump it for now because muffler shop wasn't really sure how it would look coming out the side. Now that I've seen yours....Hmmmmmmm

But....you only get to annoy people on your right side. What good is that? If I'm paying good money for a loud exhaust, I want to annoy everyone in the vicinity.

Just kidding, sounds good.
But you annoy them double when you pass them "legally" on the left

Man, I would love to hear what a 40 series sounds like with shorter piping ( or none for that matter ) - must be pretty loud!
I really like the fact that my exhaust doesn't sound close to loud when cruising, but when you step on it....

After hearing 07sport's sound bite, I was already set to get them for my truck. After hearing it again, I am SOLD.......... Sounds good Thumbster.
I think the 40s would be too loud. Thumbster, you hit it right on the head when you said "I really like the fact that my exhaust doesn't sound close to loud when cruising, but when you step on it...." I think that is the one thing I like about them the most.
You know the sad thing here is finding out actually how much people will spend on an exhaust system for these trucks. After having spent thousands of dollars on other vehicles in search of "just the right sound", I always come back to flowmaster for any V8 application. The whole system cost me $200 bucks and I ended up re-using some 3 inch slash cut tips I had removed and cleaned up from my previous 07 mustang gt Sure, the piping isn't stainless and neither is the muffler, but it works/sounds great.
I'm going to be dynoing my truck within the next week or so. That way I can have some proof for the increase in midrange torque I'm feeling over the stock exhaust. And yes, I'll have a video for you on this as well.
