Default TRD Supercharger

Anyone got any new information on the TRD Supercharger? Costs, when available. I tried to follow but the topic went off track, and was closed.

The last thread about this got locked. (btw, IBTL). I predicted that toyota will not release it. (at least not until 2007/2008's all have exceeded the time limit on the drivetrain warranty).

I called TRD Friday and they said the 4.0L supercharger will be out at the end of October.

Cause people are idiots. ( for mankind)

Anyway, I'd rather take my 381 hp than a Supercharged 4 liter anyday.

Yup, there will be Tacos driving around with the same rwhp as us but weighing 1k less. Still won't look as good though

Hmm good point. Is the supercharger application specific though? (I was under the impression it was, hence my comment)

From what I've read it will only be made for the Tacoma and FJ Cruiser, haven't heard any mention of the Tundra 4.0 who knows though

Oh, well then I recede my statement, unless of course it is for the Tundra. A s/c Taco or FJ would be tight.

I will be at SEMA next month and am definitely stopping by the TRD booth to slap them around until they say, "Uncle, we'll release the 5.7 blower as soon as possible!"

They've been saying that about the 4.0 S/C since about fall of 2002 when the 4.0 first came out (4runner), I'll believe it when I see it.

I think you are mistaken, there is no supercharger for the 5.7 tundra on their website, maybe you're referring tothe 4.0 fjc/tacoma supercharger?
