Default Update on Gibson Headers and Exhaust.

Well, been to busy at work to really beat the truck down a track or dyno for everyone but it has been too long already. Here is the summary of what's happened.
Got a call for Gibson performance. They wanted my truck to install their new headers and send off to CARB for certification. They put me in a rental and told me to come back in a week. Week goes by and I get a call. They need another week but for the inconvenience they throw in an exhaust too (I went with single out as I figure it would be the quietest). Well, when I get my truck back I cannot tell if it's running faster as it isn't one day to the next affair. One thing I notice is that initial take off is quick, I can easily do 80 on short freeway onramps for merging and it is almost silent (no exhausst noises) when I floor it. It also has a nice rumble at idle and city cruising. Now the bad is the exhaust resonates at a tad over 1500rpm in top gear which also happens to be my freeway cruising speeds . But the good is that my gas mileage went from a 14.2mpg to 15.1mpg. Now, I drive the same roads everyday and the same distances so I will assume it to be accurate. So in the end, I still have not personally dynoed or ran the track but that increase in ALMOST 1mpg is good enough for me.... for now. Now who makes the best (quiet + performance) intakes?
