I had a TRD cai installed a couple of weeks ago and had been carefully checking mileage for 3 weeks previous. Saw an immediate 1 mpg loss....not impressed, spending $500.00 just to lose mileage?
Espescially on something that theoretically should improve it. BTW all mileage checking was done under the same conditions(even the same road) with no WOT.

Funny, my MPG increased after the TRD install. But I did it along with a catback dual install, so...

I posted it here somewhere else, but after 6 tanks my pre-mod mpg was 13.9. After the TRD CAI and Borla Catbacks, I am getting 14.4 after two tanks - same driving conditions - to and from work. As I said there I'll continue to monitor.

My truck came new with TRD duals installed so I can't compare with/without. Before the cai I was getting mid 19's around town (with some wot) and 21 highway.
How do you like your Toytec lift kit? I've been eyeing that myself.
From all the ones I've seen so far, I vote for the Volant. I just bought and installed mine this week. I think after resetting the ECU, the mileage is always going to go down initially but should soon correct itself. I already notice that I need to use less throttle to maintain city driving speeds, so that says I am doing better mileage-wise. However, I think most of us negate that, but getting into it harder during acceleration, just to hear our new intake roar.
Don't worry, though, the Volant is quiet as stock when cruising at even throttle.
