Exclamation TRD Dual Exhaust Parts Desc. Question????

My dealer gave me a quote on adding the TRD dual exhaust to my order and gave me 2 parts numbers.
I want to know, do I need them to get them both???? What are these parts?

1. PT400-34074 Performance Dual Exhaust - $675.00 Dealer Cost

2. PT400-34073 Ex TA ????? - $368.75 Dealer Cost

.

Yes ... you need them both and that is a good price too.

I could not remember if it was 2 or 3 part numbers when I had mine put on at the dealer.

You will love the TRDs .. but they do drone a little between 1,700 and 2,000 RPM .. especially under light throttle. I love mine.

SOS

PS .. Save your old exhaust .. just in case ... all the parts bolt off and bolt on with no problems.

Describe each of the p/ns, though. It seems like one is just the end of the dual exhaust and the other is what hooks up to the headers...

yes but shipping will be expensive depending on your location. TRD's are sweet though, just wish it was a bit louder.

Essentially one part is common to all 2007-08 Tundras and the other part is specific to the type of Tundra (Regular Cab Short Bed, Regular Cab Long Bed, Double Cab Short Bed, Double Cab Long Bed, CrewMax). That makes it more cost effective to produce rather than producing an entirely different system for each Tundra variation.

Different wheelbases...different tailpipe (front pipe?) lengths? Doesn't TRD describe this someplace? B

It doesn't hook up to the headers, it hooks after the cat. and one is the mufler section the other is the dual tail pipes.
