Cool Will A Cracked Exhaust Manifold

affect my truck in anyway if I don't get it fixed immediately? I would love to fix it now but I'd rather save for new headers and an exhaust system all at once. Thanks

Sometimes outside air can be sucked into the exhaust stream and dilute the exhaust at the O2 sensor, which can cause an erroneous signal at the ECM and an incorrect air fuel ratio. The crack needs to be fairly substantial for this though.

I thought I had cracked manifolds but it was just valve noise because the steering shaft boot was torn. Anyways, Yes, leaky manifolds can cause long term effects. Cold air can be sucked up through the cracked manifolds causing valve warp. Also, check to make sure your positive that your manifolds are leaking because it may just be a torn steering shaft boot that is torn.
