Does anyone have the Borla side exit exhaust?

I am debating getting the borla side exit exhaust(140238) vs. the TRD system. I have seen the TRD system in person but not the Borla. If anyone has this system and could post or e-mail me some pictures, I would really appreciate the help!

Thanks for the reply stonetundra , but I am hoping to get some pictures of the side exit exaust that are a little more detailed than what Borla's website shows. Did you install yours yourself? Any input on construction quality, ease of install?

When I had my TRD duals installed at the Toyota dealer ... the dealer said I had a choice of rear exiting Borlas or side exiting TRDs.

I didn't know that side exiting Borlas were available on the 5.7L Tundra ???

Borla does offer the side exit exhaust as per their web site. As I understand they also make the TRD system , so it wolud make sense that they offer it also.

No, I did not install the Borla system. It came on the truck and was listed as a "distributor installed option" on the window sticker.

To help you with more pictures of the side exit system, I found a link button (right next to the Tundra picture on Borla's site) that pulls up a .pdf file with a great step by step installation guide. It also has some good pictures. I'd bet this is as good a look at what you're after without actually crawling under one.

Thanks stonetundra. There was a couple of decent pics in the install instruction. I still wouldn't mind seeing some more detailed pics from someone that has it installed on their truck.

I think any performance exhaust system is generally going to be louder than stock. I am told that the borla system is not really louder than stock at idle or lower rpms, but has a nice tone under load. It is supposed to be a little more "agressive" sounding than the TRD system, although I cannot confirm having not heard the 2 side exit systems side by side. It seems as though not many people, if any have the Borla side exit exhaust.
