Forced Induction SystemsDetailed discussions regarding cold-air intake systens, superchargers, turbo chargers, and other induction systems for your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "I Just Ordered A Zoomers For My Tundra.", within the Forced Induction Systems forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
If you install your stock tail pipe behind the muffler, you gain back much of what you loose, the 3" pipe slows down exhaust gas velocity( allowing it to cool) the stock pipe will increase the velocity by maintaining the hot gases(faster flow) while maintaining correct back pressure. in the midrange and top end, the exhaust velocity is improved, that's why aftermarket exhausts move the power higher in the powerband. I gained mines back by doing this; see drone stopper post. that's my 2 pennies.

Any of you towing with the Zoomers exhaust? That is my big concern as I use my truck for towing. Interestingly enough I just got a call from Ron at Zoomers. I sent an email with questions and he called me directly. That is obviously customer service.

my friend has the TRD exhaust on his crewmax, towed a boat and trailer from vegas, the exhaust drone drove him crazy, for sure the zoomers will be more agressive than the TRD. this is not to knock but if you tow on regular bases. example; even the stock system groan when under heavy load.

Ron is going to get me the names of some customers I can call. 07 firecrew, drone under power is one of my concerns. Hopefully talking to some customers will alleviate my concern.

bottomline, if you are going to get the zoomers( which is a good system) and you tow frequently, they have a zoomers with the resonator installed. ask for sound clip of this system.

I'm not sure if it's Ron or someone else that posts on this forum from Zoomers but whoever you are, I have a question about the Zoomers muffler. I noticed that the one end of the muffler has bolts that go around which look like they can be removed. Is this some type of access panel on one end of the muffler to get inside for some reason? Also I know the muffler has a type of propellar inside that causes the exhaust gases to spin and expand inside the muffler. Does the propellar actually spin or does it remain
stationary?
I have emailed Ron reference the questions I have been asked. I suggested he may want (rules allowing) to answer some or your questions directly. I don't want to try and paraphrase our discussion, get it wrong, and do the product a disservice. I will try if he does not respond himself. My other suggestion would be to call him directly. Ron is most amenable to answering qustions. I'm at work right now, but the contact number should be listed on their website.

Hey what's up buddy, it's been a long time since we did that Hummer, glad you liked it... As a potential returning Zoomers Customer I'd like to offer you free installation on a Zoomers Exhaust at the Group buy price of $627.20... We can also supply you with the same brand intake 'DuB Air' for your new Tundra $330.00. Sale ends Nov 28th. Thanks, Ron 866-4Zoomers
Ron,
Will that deal be available for a while, I'm in Kansas City now for another 4-6 months. You also saved me a ton of money. I sold that 2007 Lux edition Hummer H2 on ebay to some girl for exactly what I bought it new for because of the increased mileage. I bought it for $1,500 down and $604 a month 3yr lease, and she paid me $1,500 and took over the lease. (It's nice being a Gm employee) I love the Tundra so much I passed up insane employee discounts on a GM truck.
The bolts are a one way bolt once it's in it's not coming out. You'll also notice that the cap or panal as you call it is welded on....The propeller is stationary it does not spin...
I actually just recieved mine today and now that I have seen it in person, I go a better look at it and see what your saying.
