Sound's killer, quality of 304 Stainless, looks good.
one in for the younger guys.
love TIG welding stainless
I installed the Zoomers exhaust on my Tundra this afternoon. My initial impression is that it sounds very similar to the JBA I just had removed. Gonna have to put a few miles on it to find out what it's really like.

As you may know it it very difficult to test an automatic trans on the dyno... The main reason is, your faced with running the vehicle up to cruising speed in the gear that will ultimatly give you the peak HP and TQ numbers. In the Tundra's case it is 4th gear. You are also faced with getting the torqe converter to lock up to make your run...There is no torque loss below 3900. You basically have to slowly run it up and ease into the throttle until the torque converter locks and floor it. If you start too early the tranny will shift and blow your run. After the Zoomers were put on we had trouble starting off at the same RPM when the stock exhaust was tested. We actually had to start at 3100 RPM instead of 2700 RPM otherwise the tranny would shift. Why? Not quite sure... Probably because of the variables from testing from one week to the next. Again we ran all dyno runs in 4 gear so it's very hard to test low end numbers whether you floor it at 2700 or 3100 it really doesn't start to be accurate when the converter locks until 3900- 4000 RPM..
Alright Ron. I trust you know what you speak off. I have only dyno'ed racecars and none of those are automatics. I will call and place the order in the morning. I am in Vegas for a few days, so maybe I will a new exhaust...I guess not. Will you be back in the office or should I deal with someone else.
