I want to see just how fast I can get in the quater mile before I go with the nitrous and so on. I already have a hooker exhaust and going with the K&N Intake and throttlebody spacer. I am working on a few other things as well. I am just one of those guys who is on the performance end of things. I want to be the first double cab in the low 13s if possible. So any help is greatly needed.
Could possibly be the funniest post of 2007.

Definately the first person I have heard of that has a dyno AND is asking where to cut holes in his exhaust for performance.

...classic.

If these beasts act in any way similar to the Hemi, get the cutouts. They provide excellent gains in the 1/4 mile on the hemi. Plus when you want it quiet all you need to do is flip a switch!

I say try it and see what happens. I would love to do this myself but don't have the time nor money atm. As someone else mentioned, I'm sure much larger gains would be seen under a force induction set up. But what the hey give it a shot, may be just what the 5.7 needs. Good luck and please post pictures/videos.
PS ignore the a--holes

I wouldn't try that myself, but if you're willing to be a guinea pig, try installing the cutouts between the cats. Of course you'll be voiding your emissions warranty, but if that doesn't matter to you I'd say go for it!

I say if you are gonna do cutouts, you gotta do remote cutouts. Its gonna suck having to get out and undo wing nuts. I say go for it.
