I did a search but came up with nothing. As anyone recorded power gains between just adding filter vs CAI? I would think the filter would be worth at least half the gains by itself, but that is just my theory.
I'd be willing to bet just a high flow filter element, in the stock box, is worth 90% + of any gains.

Roughly 13 wrhp with a CAI. On my camaro, I judged a good bang for the buck to be $10.00 per hp being about the best deal you could find. We are WAY out of that element with this truck. I think I will go with just the drop in filter for now. I just put my catback on, so that is my Xmas gift to me from me.

I think that could be a mistake. Your basically insulating the tube which will help it retain heat. Aluminum is one of the best metals for dissipating heat ,wrapping it is similar to putting your beer in a coozie.
For example and for your own practical tests take two empty beer cans fill one with Hot water and put in a coozie take the other and fill with hot water and leave on the counter take temps of both cans after 15 min. You will see the difference
Header Wrap is used to keep the heat from the headers from escaping and affecting components close by.
These are just my opinions and your mileage may vary

I to have the Airaid CIA and it is freakin LOUD. No joke, its so loud that when i step on it the passanger side of the firewall actually resonates. It would be annoying for most but i like it. But combined with a good cat-back exhaust system, you can definatly feel and hear a difference. Also I have a custom magnaflow system and i did notice after i installed my airaid that i did get a bit more cabin drone.
