Gains in mpg are quickly negated by gains in right foot throttle usage. If you stay outta the throttle and drive more conservatively you might pick up 1-2 more mpg with intake and exhaust...Thats what I noticed on the highway when just using cruise control.

None, zip, zilch, nada. I have about 1500 miles on a TRD dual exhaust and TRD CAI. I was getting 17.4 MPG before the install and I still get 17.4 MPG after 1500 miles of the ECM learning the new in and out flow.

The good: Sounds awesome!

The Bad: Lots of $$ spent for awesome sound.

Would I do it again? Naaa. I'd be saving the $$ for gas. LOL!

I have read on here about people getting an increase in mpg after installing a Volant CAI with either the Magnaflow or Zoomers exhaust. Makes me wonder what the difference could be between these two set-ups and the TRD.

I have been seeing a stead increase in mpg lately. I installed a Borla exhaust awhile back. I do not think the exhaust really has anything to do with the increase in mpg. I think it is just getting better with age. It now has about 12,300 miles on it. I have noticed that if I keep it around 60mph it does better. If I go 70mph it drops down. I just did a trip of 130 miles of highway (not interstate) and the dash said 21.5mpg when I arrived at my destination. Actually, on the way there, it said 21.8 mpg. When I arrived back home, it said the trip averaged 20.0 mpg. I have noticed that temperature, wind, and speed are important variables that greatly effect my mpg. Another factor that will throw things off is idle time (sitting with the motor running).

After I installed the TRD CAI, I have now seen a 1mpg increase.
I have not changed driving habits.
