Default Fixed volant!

Using the stock piece off the stock intake...Fits much better now. Not loose anywhere and no gaps in fender wall. The filter to me looks very restrictive though....Any thought on that...I mean its very thick how could air possible flow good?

That mod works only in theory. I did it last year. The intake is WAY too restrictive in that set up. I took the extra part off and my gas milage jumped 3 mpg. use only the parts Volant says to use.

dude the whole in the intake is the same no matter what. The volant can only suck in so much air. wether you have that stock piece on there or not. The stock piece just helps it stay in place better and not have any gaps. How do you think it makes it more restrictive?
