Re: K&N Filters
I had a K&N on a '90 extended cab and '74VW dual carbs before that. They are good air filters, soaked with red oil and work best when they're so dirty you can't see the red and take a long long time to get dirty from street driving. Easy to clean; rinse in warm soapy water, shake and let air dry. NEVER high pressure air dry, may ruin cotton gauze inside screens. Then re-oil either liquid from squirt bottle or spray can. You'll love them. As for whether they allow more air to enter engine or less turbulent air as they advertise or more mileage I don't know. But you'll get a good feeling from K&N, warm and fuzzy. Good day!
