Default K&N Drop in Air Filter

do u think that the drop in air filter will save me some gas or no. i dont want to buy a intake right now and was wondering if the drop in air filter would help. i'm getting around 12.8mpg right now, and i want to increase that, i have only 3500 miles on my tundra right now.

I have one and all it seems to do is make this sucking noise. Not sure about power increase, marginal at best. But increase in mpg is a negative.

I tried one and fuel mileage worsened due to reduced low-end torque. The Toyota brand paper filter produced the best mileage and power. Just change every 15K. I've also tried a Trueflow drop in and it is equal to the Toyota paper filter.

A K&N wont improve your gas milage. You will save a little money in terms of maintenance costs because instead of replacing the filter every year, you can just wash, reoil and reinstall the K&N.
Just be careful that you dont overoil the K&N because that can foul out your MAF sensor.

Atleast use the AFE replacement filter if your going to swap them.

K&N = 20yr old filter technology, which basically means, K&N is living off of the name.
