So anybody get a quote from their dealer on installation cost? From looking at the instructions, it looks like a lot of work and there is no estimated install time from what I could see.
Thanks for sharing that apintheca, interesting read! So did I read that correctly, it can boost output of engine by 70%? Although I'm sure TRD has it tamed down quite a bit.
Estimated time for install is 8-10 hrs. We will be charging ACCESSORY RATE not regular CP RATE if you buy the S/C from our dealership and have us install it. I have no set prices yet, the powers that be are still hashing it out.
I have also heard thru my source that a CAI really "WAKES UP" the 5.7 with S/C or without the S/C. Even just a drop in filter does wonders. (No filter brands were given).
I have no proof as of yet, just passing on what I consider reliable info.

My question here, for us who live out side the state can we buy the supercharge? I am asking this because our Toyota dealer didn't offer any type of performance parts for the Tundra.
I have sold to our CANADIAN friends, but there were extra terriffs and taxes added on that end. I will ask my shipping clerk and parts manager about selling to the UAE.

With the Tq increased to 515ft-lbs, it's near diesel territory.
So does this means, with the SC, it will be nearly a match with the diesels for towing?
lol, on the gears, i would prolly go the other way maybe 1 step down (number wise now ) like from a 4:10 to a 3:70 if some one makes any, we don't know if they do so i would have to look..............
Mark
man i forgot what comes in the Tundra now..sheesh.....

IMHO....Right on with the gearing suggestion...even higher wouldn't hurt like a 3.46:1 or even a 3.15:1. With all that power from the S/C in low gearing, it would be like having a crawler on the back end of the truck.
Besides, with higher gearing you would probably bury your speedo and not your tach.
Thanks, also ask about the reflash how can i do that over here.
YOUR TOYOTA dealer will have to do the re-flash. There is no other way that I know of. It has to be downloaded from TIS and then updated to your ecu from the toyota scan tool. This is the only scan tool that I know of that will update toyota programming in the stock ECU.

we are shipping to UAE every week, got quite a few customers over there, you would need to contact jamie, as he has all the info on the shipping.
we have some chargers going over there next week when they come in, maybe you can piggy-back on those and save a lot of shipping $$$, just a thought.

yup, less would be better for the racers out there, for the towing guys prolly not so good though......
