Default XDI or Volant?

I have been looking at the true flow intake for my 2005 tundra with the 4.7L and I haven't found information anywhere about it, it says that they dont make it for my truck but on ebay I found one that says its for my truck, so idk. eBay Motors: True Flow Air Intake System Toyota Tundra 4.7L 01-06 (item 110226021121 end time Jun-18-08 16:11:48 PDT)
I have heard many good things about the Volant except for the fitting issue but i also heard that it doesn't hurt anything. I dont mind the sound of the filter, i actually kind of like it so the louder the better. I need better gas mileage if one helps more than the other. Thanks, I wil hopefully be ordering one this week sometime.

Well I have no experience with the xdi but I have the regular trueflow intake it did help me to achieve about 1.5 to 2 more mpg combined with the exhaust.I would make sure that thing will fit before I buy last time I checked they didn't make one for our year tundra just the new one. Also from what I've read everyone complains of how loud they are.Good luck keep us updated.I think all the fitments issues with the volant were on the new tundra not the older model. These are about the only to that are sealed for our trucks.Foam supposed to be better filter.I know from experience its 10 times better than K&N.

The volant is sounding like a good choice to me, sounds like a good product that does what an air intake is supposed to do. how do u pronounce that? my friend always says it like this vooolant...is that how? or is it like vo lant
