Running premium unleaded before TRD supercharger install
I have been told that it is extremely important that you run PREMIUM ULEADED IN THE TRUCK BEFORE THE SUPER CHARGER IS INSTALLED. I WOULD RECOMMEND RUNNING A TANK THROUGH BEFORE THE INSTALL. Has anyone of you heard this?

Re: Running premium unleaded before TRD supercharger install
Duh!
You most definitely should! And don't ever put 91/92 from a cheapie gas station... thats usually about equal to 87 at a good station.
Well having worked in the gasoline industry before... I always run premium no matter what. Also I only put gas such as Chevron, Mobil, Texaco, 76, Valero, etc. None of that cheap ****!
I'm sure 10,000 people have their 2cents on what gas to use and this and that and blah blah...
If your really skeptical just go down to any gas station and ask for a printout summary of their tanks. They are required by law to provide it to you. Check it out for yourself.

Re: Running premium unleaded before TRD supercharger install
We used to do this before we installed a turbo kit. You want to flush out the lower octane to prevent knocking once you get the turbo/supercharger going.

Just stay away from octane boosters that use MMT as the main ingredient! It will kill your plugs and cats - leaves a nice reddish coating when it burns
One of the worst brands that fall into this category is the infamous "104+"
