I just got the supercharger on my 5.7 rcsb 4x4. The truck also has 35 inch tires and it smokes them through first second and still spinning in third. when i looked at the speedo it was 70 mph when i lifted. It is alot of fun i encourage everyone to get one and if ur in the area go to NORWALK TOYOTA.

The engineers didn't design the brake system to work beyond a certain speed lets say 145Mph. I had an old Pontiac Sunbird with a 350 engine swap and direct port Fogger nitrous. The faster it went, the less adequate the stock brakes became. At one point I used to have to pile on the brakes as hard as I could the instant I cleared the traps, just to get it to slow down enough to avoid running out of track because the stock brakes were completely inadequate.

It all depends on what you are doing with the car. Eighth mile I might have gotten away with it, but I agree it is best to err on the side of caution.

true on both accounts, that's why we didn't have a problem with the truck we drove because we didn't get very fast on the street where we would have to "panic" stop to many times, the few rides we did behind the dealership on the videos were less than 90 in all cases.........

i checked with service ond we can get everything you asked about installed (i.e. supercharger,big brake kit, cat back and pads)for about $1000.00, that's with out the sway, only because with your current mod you were talking about i do not think the sway will work without end link modifacations..........

with all the high speed stops we did all weekend with the charged X-SP i never felt any brake fade, but now we are on flat land over here also.....come to think of it i don't think we got them hot enough to smell them either.........

oh well, now we have .04 cents

lol, burn outs can be done by a stock truck, but i do like the fact that they are out there throwing it down for all the other trucks to grab on to
